Session Description
Over the course of 5 hours, we will learn how to identify areas in our home life that are overwhelming our children (and in turn, ourselves) with undue stress and struggle, as highlighted in the book "Simplicity Parenting". - We will look at effective strategies for curbing the unnecessary roadblocks that we put in our own way with the "badge of Busy-ness" and the comparison trap; - We will give focus to simplifying our physical environments, our extra-curricular activities, and schedules; - We will learn the difference between ‘routine’ and ‘rhythm’, as well as different levels of play and social-emotional development in childhood; All while building trust and support through group discussions, small group work, and support/resources from the Simplicity Parenting Institute. This session runs from 1:30 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 5th and 19th, 2024. When you register for this session, you are committing to attending both classes.
